PM says government to discuss plan to clean polluted beaches

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred to the tar pollution and subsequent ecological disaster that befell Israel's coastline during a tour of Ashdod Beach.
"Environmental Protection Minister Gila Gamliel will bring a plan to the government Monday with a budget to clean the beaches. I spoke to the Egyptian energy minister who came to us, and we suggested that all ships be run on natural gas instead of polluting fuel," said Netanyahu. "I think that if there was a union of several countries, we could bring about a huge change in a few years, so that there will be a clean sea."
