Israel records highest daily increase in virus cases since start of pandemic

The Health Ministry reported the 2,062 new virus cases were diagnosed on Tuesday, the highest daily rise in infections since the pandemic started in Israel.
The ministry also reported that 8.4% of coronavirus tests conducted on Tuesday came back positive for the pathogen, 1 out of every 12 people being tested.
Out of the current 33,377 patients battling the virus, 315 are in serious condition, with 96 connected to ventilators.
