Israel welcomes extradition to India of suspect in 2008 Mumbai attacks

Israel welcomed the extradition to India from the U.S. of Tahawwur Rana, a man of Pakistani origin with Canadian citizenship, who is suspected of planning the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed more than 170 people, including a Chabad emissary and his wife, Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg. Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Ezer released a video in which he said: "I would like to congratulate the Indian government for its insistence on bringing the terrorists to justice. We welcome this step, which is intended to hold someone accountable for the terrible attacks that claimed many lives, including Israelis."
