Jordanian parliament approves bill against gas imports from Israel

Daniel Salami|
The Jordanian parliament has approved on Sunday a bill banning gas imports from Israel.
The bill was passed to the government for approval.
MPs have argued that the law "answers the calls of the people who refuse an agreement with Israel," with the Jordanian House Speaker saying that "governments recognize Israel, but the peoples do not recognize Palestine's occupying entity."
It is unclear how the law will affect the gas agreement.
