Some 20 people were arrested in the central city of Lod Tuesday evening as riots broke out after the funeral of an Arab man who was shot dead in a suspected hate crime attack.
The victim was identified as 25-year old Moussa Hassoun who was killed overnight Monday during riots that broke out in the city in the wake of the tensions in Jerusalem.
A 34-year old Jewish local was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the shooting.
Hassoun was taken to Shamir Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
