For the first time in 50 years: Israel appoints ambassador to Chad

Israeli Ambassador to Senegal Ben Bourgel submitted his credentials to the President of Chad General Muhammad Idris Deby Itno on Tuesday, and thus became the first Israeli ambassador to chad in 50 years.
The Foreign Ministry said that this is a very important step in strengthening the Chad-Israel relations since their renewal back in 2019.
