Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chair MK Zvi Hauser said on Tuesday that "50% of virus patients are not traced by either Shin Bet phone tracking or epidemiological testing."
Hause promised that he will reinforce the patient tracing apparatus and advocate for the government to implement a civilian phone app to assist with the tracking.
Hauser comments came after a Knesset report showed that some 8,000 coronavirus patients are unaware of them being afflicted with the pathogen and are not in quarantine.
