Netanyahu calls on coalition members to join former whip in move to the opposition

Former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday called on members of the coalition to join their resigning whip and move their alliance to the opposition.
Member of Knesset Idit Silman announced earlier that she is resigning as whip and member of the coalition, causing Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's government to lose its parliamentary majority.
Netanyahu addressed the Knesset and said Silman was welcomed "home" with open arms.
