The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq reported from sources familiar with the details that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will present to the Emir of Qatar Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani during his visit to Doha the plan for the establishment of a new technocrat government and that he will forward the proposal to Hamas. Hamas officials told the newspaper they welcome the cooperation with the Palestinian Authority when it comes to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, but there is a need for understanding at every step, including the members of the new government and the nature of the body that will oversee the reconstruction.
