The Foreign Ministry on Saturday clarified its imposition of sanctions on Norway, saying that Jerusalem has lost its trust in Oslo due to its actions regarding the war in Gaza.
"The Norwegian government's policy toward Israel since October 7 is extreme, one-sided and anti-Israel," according to a statement. "Just last week, Norway chose to support the baseless proceedings against Israel in The Hague, recognized a Palestinian state and continues to refuse to declare Hamas a terrorist organization. Norway has lost Israel's trust and its special role since the Oslo Accords."
