The Israel Police announced that it solved the murder of a pregnant woman in Lod about a month ago. The police say that Aya Hajaj's 14-year-old brother stabbed her to death and fled the scene to southern Israel in a car that was waiting for him, driven by his 15-year-old cousin. In addition to the teen, the dead woman's father, 51, was also arrested on suspicion of involvement. The detention of the suspects has been extended, according to the needs of the investigation, and a prosecutor's statement was submitted to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court. Hajaj, 24, was murdered in front of her 5-year-old son in the Ramot Eshkol neighborhood in Lod. She was in advanced pregnancy, and had been stabbed more than 15 times in all parts of her body.
