Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanua said Tuesday that the ceasefire proposal presented by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff was on the negotiating table and that Hamas did not reject it.
"Hamas viewed the proposal positively," al-Qanua said, adding that the group’s priority was to extend the agreement. He stated that Hamas would continue to engage flexibly with mediators in an effort to end Israeli aggression and push Israel toward a deal.
