Foreign Affairs Minister Gabi Ashkenazi wrote a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he asked the prime minister not to approve the Flag March in Jerusalem, which is scheduled to pass through the Nablus Gate on Thursday.
"There is international and regional sensitivity to take into account and there is no point in measures that could lead to escalation," wrote Ashkenazi.
