Incoming British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has decided to scrap the plan to deport migrants to Rwanda, a policy initiated by his predecessor Rishi Sunak. Starmer announced that he is "not willing to continue with this gimmick." He added that the plan, which involved sending asylum seekers who arrived on British shores to the central African nation, "was buried before it even began. It never served as a deterrent."
