After the IDF published a preliminary investigation into the strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, which stated that six militants were killed in the attack, Hamas issued an official statement claiming this was a lie - and that none of the casualties were members of the organization. According to the terrorist group, all those killed in the strike were civilians, and two of those identified by Israel as militants were killed in other attacks far from the hospital - one in al-Mawasi and the other elsewhere. Hamas did not specify whether these two were actually members of the organization or civilians. According to Palestinians, at least 20 people were killed in the attack - including five journalists, some of whom also work for major news agencies AP and Reuters.
