The Hostages and Missing Families Forum announced that Ronen Engel is one of the two deceased hostages returned to Israel overnight. On October 7, his wife Karina and their children Mika and Yuval were also abducted. Ronen was killed on October 7 while protecting his family from terrorists who entered their home in Nir Oz. Besides Karina, Mika and Yuval, he is survived by his son Tom.
