Israel's population reaches 10.305 million, immigration increases

For the first time, the number of Israeli citizens has crossed the 10 million threshold. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, which released data ahead of the new year, Israel's population is estimated at approximately 10,305,000 people. CBS data also shows that since last Rosh Hashanah, Israel's population has grown by approximately 124,000 people, an increase of 1.2%. During the past year, approximately 182,000 babies were born in Israel and approximately 50,000 people died. Additionally, it was found that the international migration balance was negative, with approximately 8,000 people subtracted from Israel's population. A decrease was also recorded in the number of returnees. Last year, 18,800 Israelis returned to the country from abroad, compared to 24,200 in 2024.
