The government vote on Friday to extend a travel ban to countries with high COVID-19 infection rates until Sunday, June 13.
The list includes seven countries: Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, India, South Africa, Mexico and Turkey. Starting next Monday Russia and Argentina will also be added to the list.
Traveling to one of these destinations requires a special permit from an exception committee. Travelers returning from these countries will be required to self-isolate even if they have been vaccinated against the virus or recovered from it.
