NY Hanukkah stabbing suspect suffering mental illness, family pastor says

|
The family pastor of the man suspected of stabbing five people at a New York Hanukkah party says mental illness could be to blame for the attack.
Rev. Wendy Paige says Grafton E. Thomas has been suffering from mental illness and that his family believes that condition was the cause of the alleged stabbings -- not hatred toward Jewish people.
She says his family is sorry for the pain he has caused.
