Outgoing Mossad Director Yossi Cohen boasted Monday night about the Israeli intelligence agency managing to lay its hands on Iran's most sensitive military and nuclear intelligence and infrastructure under his lead.
"We have penetrated the heart of the Iranian enemy. We worked tirelessly to gather and reveal its darkest secrets and managed to undermine its self-confidence and arrogance," Cohen said at a farewell event as he was set to retire from service after almost four decades.
"We've captured the Iranian nuclear archive and exposed to the world the Iranian military nuclear program, their intent, the preservation of nuclear military capabilities, and Iran's great deception and lies, trying to full the entire world for years."
Cohen's deputy, David Barnea, is slated to succeed him on Tuesday.
