Chief Rabbinate to draft rules for testing Judaism in DNA

Yael Freidson|
The High Court of Justice dismissed on Wednesday an appeal filled by Yisrael Beytenu head Avigdor Liberman and several immigrants from the former-USSR, claiming that the Chief Rabbinate is conducting tests to identify Judaism and genetic testing without defined rules while discriminating against a specific group.
The High Court gave the Rabbinate a year to formulate clear rules on these issues.
