A prison guard at the central prison in Jerusalem has been placed on forced leave and will face a hearing to consider her dismissal, accused of providing privileges to her former partner who is detained at the facility. This directive came from the Israel Prison Service Commissioner. According to information obtained by ynet, during her shifts, the guard transferred personal items and cigarettes to her ex-partner, and authorities are also investigating whether she allowed him to make phone calls without approval from authorized command staff. The Israel Prison Service stated: "This is a violation of the basic trust given to staff members."
