U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Time Magazine that he "doesn't think" Egypt and the United Arab Emirates warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before the October 7 massacre. "I heard that today for the first time," Trump claimed. "If he had known, he would have done something about it. He certainly would have made sure that at least the people would be on alert. He wouldn't have forgotten about it. There are people on the far left who claim this never happened, and that's quite a serious thing." When asked if he thinks the people in Israel should elect Netanyahu for another term, he replied: "I'm no longer involved in politics." Netanyahu was quick to respond to Trump's remarks, writing on X: "President Trump is right."
