President Isaac Herzog published a message to the citizens of Israel, stating that "This is a difficult and challenging time filled with uncertainty and concern, even anxiety. When we sat in the shelter, I found myself thinking - how on one hand it is clear and understood that we all worry about our loved ones wherever they are, and on the other hand - how these moments bring out the best of Israeli mutual responsibility from us. We are at a moment of test for our nation. We stand with courage and demonstrate time and again unparalleled resilience. We are privileged to live in a generation of heroes."
