In a statement published by Iran's Emergency Command, General Ali Abdollahi Ali-Abadi, who heads this command, was quoted. In his remarks, he rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's deadline for Tehran to agree to a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz by the coming Monday, or else "the gates of hell" would open upon it. The Iranian general mocked in response and said: "The aggressive and belligerent U.S. president, after suffering successive defeats, has taken upon himself in a helpless, unstable, agitated and foolish manner to threaten Iran's infrastructure and assets." He added that "the simple meaning of this message is that the gates of hell will open upon you."
