Beaches in Haifa were closed after one of the lifeguards from the city's beach department identified an animal in the water near the southern beaches that could be a whale shark. The Haifa Municipality updated the Planning, Environment and Sustainability Unit, the Nature and Parks Authority and the Coast Guard about the situation and will provide updates on any developments.
