A man was killed when a tree collapsed at Shamir Assaf Harofeh Hospital grounds. Fire and Rescue Services reported that firefighters extracted him from under the tree using hydraulic tools and specialized rescue equipment, but medical personnel ultimately had to pronounce him dead. According to ZAKA, the victim was a 35-year-old man who was accompanying his wife before childbirth, stepped out to get her water - and then the tree fell on him.
