National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir referred to the worshipers who bowed on the Temple Mount during a visit on Tuesday morning, saying that "our policy is to allow prayer." According to Ben-Gvir: "We come on Tisha B'Av to commemorate the destruction of the Temple on the Mount. “But it needs to be said with sincerity: there is very significant progress here in the governance, in the sovereignty. As I have said, our policy is to allow prayer." He added: "We must win this war, and not go to conferences in Doha or Cairo, but defeat them, bring them to their knees. This is the message. We can defeat Hamas."
