Netanyahu says if US fails to veto UN call for cease-fire, Israeli officials will not travel to D.C.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that if the U.S. fails to veto a UN resolution up for a vote in the Security Council calling for an immediate cease-fire, he will keep Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer back from a scheduled visit to Washington at the head of a delegation of officials. Officials in Jerusalem were concerned that the Biden administration would not use its veto power to prevent the resolution tabled by 10 member states.
