Health Ministry guideline: 'Bringing doctors back to the country independently is prohibited'

|
Following a report on ynet about a special sea voyage organized by hospitals to bring back medical staff stranded abroad, the Ministry of Health issued a new directive prohibiting such actions, claiming that Israel's air and maritime space is threatened and movement is limited and prioritized at the national level. Ministry Director-General Moshe Bar Siman Tov wrote in a letter sent to hospital directors and health fund CEOs, which reached ynet: "The ministry is working centrally with the government to ensure that essential system employees return safely to the country, through accepted channels and in accordance with government policy - with a national perspective on needs."
