The Prime Minister's Office posted in English on X that "the facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly attacked, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against any individual. However, significant questions remain. According to reports, approximately 200 Arabs and extreme left-wing activists confronted about 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides throwing objects, alongside reports of fireworks shot at Jewish youths. Additional footage shows Levine falling to the ground, and immediately afterward being helped up by an individual whose identity is unknown. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence."
