The Health Ministry said on Friday that 7,692 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed on Wednesday after 141,638 tests conducted, indicating a 5.54% positivity rate.
There are currently 594 seriously ill patients being treated in hospital with 108 on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 6,759 people have succumbed to the virus.
