By the end of 2024, 10 million residents will live in Israel, according to the annual report of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) published ahead of Rosh Hashanah. The population of Israel is currently estimated at approximately 9,795,000 inhabitants. In 2048, when Israel is expected to celebrate 100 years of independence, 15 million residents are expected to live here. The report also indicates that Jews make up 73% of Isreal's inhabitants, 21% Arabs and 6% other groups. In the last year, the population of Israel grew by about 194,000 people, about 172,000 babies were born and 48,000 Israelis died.
