Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas crossed into Jordan overnight through the Allenby Crossing en route to Damascus, Syria’s capital, where he is to meet with President Ahmad al-Sharaa. Palestinian sources told Saudi channel Al‑Sharq that Israeli authorities refused to permit Jordanian helicopters to fly him from Ramallah.
