Israel’s Foreign Ministry warned Israelis in Greece on Sunday to exercise increased caution ahead of nationwide demonstrations expected over the war in Gaza, including rallies described by Palestinian groups as a “day of rage.”
The protests are expected to take place in dozens of locations across Greece, including Athens, Thessaloniki, Greek islands and major tourist destinations.

In a travel advisory, the ministry urged Israelis to stay away from protest sites and large gatherings and to avoid any confrontation with demonstrators.
The advisory also recommended that Israelis “keep a low profile” regarding Israeli and Jewish symbols and refrain from posting their real-time location on social media.
The Foreign Ministry said the expected scale of the demonstrations and the possibility of large gatherings and disturbances require heightened awareness from Israeli visitors.
Israeli citizens in Greece were advised to follow updates from local authorities and the media, monitor developments and comply with instructions from local security forces.
