Clashes broke out at the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem Friday morning between police and about 200 rioters who hurled stones at them.
Police responded with stun grenades and other riot control measures. Twenty rioters were lightly to moderately injured in the unrest.
The police said the demonstrators prepared fortifications and fireworks, and that the forces waited for the end of prayer and dispersal of the faithful, but rioters continued to throw stones during a sermon at the nearby Western Wall.
