The High Court of Justice has said that on Sunday it will hear a petition that argues an individual under a criminal indictment cannot be tasked with forming the government.
The petition comes following a unity coalition deal signed between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue & White leader Benny Gantz.
Netanyahu faces a criminal trial after being charged with fraud, bribery and breach of trust in February.
