Katz slams Erdogan over call for Islamic alliance against Israel

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz sharply criticized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday for his recent statements, accusing him of incitement and spreading dangerous falsehoods.
Katz responded after Erdogan called for an Islamic alliance against Israel, claiming the Jewish state seeks to conquer regional nations, including Turkey.
"Erdogan continues to throw the Turkish people into the fire of hatred and violence for the sake of his Hamas friends," Katz said in an X post. He described Erdogan's claim as "a dangerous lie and incitement," adding that Israel is defending its borders and citizens from Hamas and Iran's "axis of evil." Katz further accused Erdogan and the Muslim Brotherhood of working alongside Iran to destabilize moderate Arab regimes in the Middle East. "Erdogan should be silent and ashamed," Katz concluded.
