Wildfires have reignited in the Jerusalem Hills, with firefighters now battling a new blaze that has broken out between the communities of Shoresh and Neve Ilan. This comes after widespread fires swept through the area yesterday.
According to a statement from Fire and Rescue Services, ground crews operating in the region were dispatched to the scene, while eight aircraft from the aerial firefighting unit were deployed to concentrate efforts from the air and help contain the fire's spread.
"Firefighting teams are working at the scene with the aim of halting the fire and preventing any threat to nearby communities and road users," the statement said.
