Newly elected Knesset Speaker Benny Gantz posted on his Facebook page that his decision to join a Netanyahu led cabinet at this time was in order to avoid an additional, fourth election cycle at a time of crisis.
"There was no other way and I am confident that I have made the right decision," Gantz wrote.
