Health of nearly half of COVID patients hospitalized in past week, improves

|
The health of half of the COVID patients who were treated for serious illness after being hospitalized over the past week, have either improved or they were released from care.
Since last Wednesday, 303 people were admitted to hospital and had received treatment for serious complications of the virus and 74 of them showed considerable improvement while 67 were released for continued care at home.
Health officials claim it is too soon to consider hospitalizations from Omicron to be shorter than earlier variants but admit patients have exhibited less severe symptoms and less respiratory complications.
