Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke with new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, his office said on Tuesday.
"Both leaders spoke on the importance of the deep connection between Israel and Germany, and agreed to continue the fruitful cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas — economic, political and security," a statement said.
Bennett congratulated Scholz for his election and thanked him for his commitment to the State of Israel and its security. He also invited the German leader to visit Israel.
