Health Ministry says 679 new COVID patients confirmed on Tuesday, positivity rate up to 1.7%

The Health Ministry said on Wednesday that 679 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Tuesday after 41,443 tests conducted indicating a 1.7% positivity rate.
There are currently 500 people hospitalized in serious condition with 207 of them on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 6,131 Israelis had succumbed to the virus.
