The head of the opposition National Unity Party, Benny Gantz, referring to the outline of compromise agreements presented by President Isaac Herzog, said in his speech at a conference of his party's activists: "We are in a time of tremendous challenges. Today the country is in clear and present danger - and without stable and strong hands holding the steering wheel, there is no effective prime minister in Israel." He referred to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's invitation to reach a compromise agreement, saying that "I don't trust Netanyahu, who does everything that is best for him and nothing that is right for the country. Reality has proven that there is no one to talk to." (Raanan Ben-Zur and Moran Azoulay)
