A 12-year-old cyclist was hit by a car and killed near the city of Givat Shmuel during Yom Kippur. According to the police, the driver was most likely intoxicated during the accident.
According to an eye witness who rode side by side with the 12 year-old-boy, the driver "did not try to move aside, nor hit the breaks. I wanted to pull [the boy] aside but it was late. I heard an explosion. I turned around, saw a big cloud of dust and then I started screaming."
