A Hamas guard who killed an Israeli hostage on Monday acted 'in revenge' against instructions after he got news that his two children were killed in an Israeli strike, the spokesperson for the group's armed al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, said on Thursday in a post on Telegram. He added that the incident doesn't represent the ethics of Hamas - which breached Israel's borders on October 7 and killed at least 1,200 people, and took over 200 hostage, many of which have been determined to be dead.
