Russian forces stationed at Syria’s Tartus port are preparing to withdraw within hours, Saudi television network Al Arabiya reported on Monday, citing unnamed sources.
Recent media reports have indicated that Russia is scaling back its presence in the region. Satellite imagery has shown Russian ships departing from the port, amid the collapse of the regime of Bashar Assad, a key Moscow ally.
