Knesset approves bill to oversee kosher laws in hospitals during Passover

|
The Knesset approved late Sunday a bill in first reading that will allow hospital directors in Israel to dictate whether food products that are not kosher during Passover could be allowed into hospitals.
The bill presents a point of contention between the religious and secular sectors, which claim the law to be an act of religious coercion by religious parties in the government.
