The Trump administration is canceling the annual National Hunger Report survey, which aims to examine how many people are experiencing food insecurity according to states and populations. The Wall Street Journal reported this, adding that the survey conducted every December has been carried out since the 1990s in the United States and analyzed by the Department of Agriculture. A department spokesperson said that "the report, which is not required by law, has become too political and unnecessary for carrying out the department's work."
