Lahav 433 and the Military Police arrested 21 suspects from contractor companies and career soldiers on suspicion of economic fraud involving millions of shekels during operations in Gaza. In recent months, a covert investigation was conducted by Lahav 433, together with the Tax Authority and the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division, on suspicion of offenses including obtaining goods by fraud, money laundering, bribery and more. This morning, as the investigation moved to its overt phase, civilians and career soldiers were arrested in a coordinated, large-scale operation across the country. All detainees will be brought later today for a hearing on extending their detention at the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court and the Military Court in Beit Lid.
